Y'all need to fish from the correct spot. Best spot is diagonally right and down from the door of the Witch's hut, in the first corner in that direction - just below the tile with a few blood-red spots on it. Bandage as far out to the correct as possible, yous'll get Gold Star easily, and Iridium Star on a Perfect Take hold of.
